Barbering

Program overview

This standalone program focuses on barbering services and men's haircutting. You build control of tools, guide lines, transitions, fades, scissor-over-comb, finishing, beard work, straight-razor shaving foundations, and sanitation standards. The program keeps a clear 108-hour format, with supervised practice on mannequin heads and clients when the student is ready and clients are available.

What you learn

  • Hair analysis, consultation, and workstation preparation for men’s haircutting services.
  • Progressive control of barbering tools: combs, scissors, clippers, trimmers, and razor.
  • Classic and modern cutting techniques: scissors, clipper-over-comb, guide lines, fades, and blending.
  • Fade control, outline precision, finishing, and supervised technical correction.
  • Beard design foundations: shape, trimming, balance, and detailing.
  • Straight-razor shaving foundations and safe service preparation.
  • Men’s colour concepts when those techniques fit the group’s level.
  • Sanitation, service rhythm, and client communication.
  • Guided practice on mannequin heads and on clients when the student is ready and clients are available.
